Glaucoma

Glaucoma cases are the favourite of the examiners because of  the wide range of different
signs (both anterior and posterior segments) which can be used to test the candidates'
observation skills.
Glaucoma patients generally fall into three groups:
    • patients with signs due to the treatment
    • patients with signs of secondary open glaucoma ± signs of treatment
    • patients with previous acute angle glaucoma and signs of treatment
Some of the glaucoma cases are put under a different topic for example buphthalmos is
under cornea because the examiner is likely to request a corneal examination in such case..
