Epilepsy is caused by abnormal spread of cerebral electrical activities. Visual symptoms can
occur if the visual cortex is involved. A number of systemic conditions with ocular signs
are associated with epilepsy especially phakomatosis. For example, Sturge-Weber's syndrome,
and tuberous sclerosis.
