Sir Edward (Coley) Burne-Jones (1833 - 1898), English painter and designer. He was pre-occupied by medieval and literal themes and invented an escapist, dreamlike world. His painting was regarded as pre-Raphaelite style. The Painting below The mirror of Venus is his other well known piece.
