Sacroilitis in ankylosing spondylitis.

The X-ray shows irregularities of the sacroiliac joints with sclerosis
of the articular surfaces.
 

b. What extra-articular conditions are associated with this condition?

• Eyes - anterior uveitis
• Lungs - apical fibrosis, restrictive lung diseases due to restricted

chest expansion
• Heart - aortic incompetence, conduction abnormalities
