........................ Last year, after completing my house-jobs, I got shortlisted for quite a few eye jobs. However, now that I have medical SHO experience, ALS, MRCOphth Part I, I am not getting shortlisted. Why?

Ophthalmology is always difficult to get job unless your CV is above others or if you have connection (your parents or parents' friends are ophthalmologists) or more experience than others(and the hospital you apply to is not interested in teaching). My advise is concentrating on improving your CV if you are not sure how shows your CV to a college tutor rather than trying to get the timing right.
